About
Sixteen years inside the enterprise.
Sales engineering, product management, and enterprise leadership. Four technology waves, and the same question every time: what survives contact with the field.
The AI conversation aimed at revenue professionals is written almost entirely by people who have never carried a number. Vendor material describes what a tool can do. Analyst material describes what a market might do. Neither one tells you what happens when a rep opens the tool on a Tuesday with a forecast call at four.
That gap is why this publication exists.
Who it is for
The people selling AI into the enterprise, and the teams evaluating it for their own organisations. Account executives, solutions engineers, RevOps leaders, technical account managers, and the executives they report to. Both sides of the same deal, and both sides get written for here.
What gets published
Field Notes are observations. A pattern worth naming, the evidence underneath it, and what it changes about the way you work.
Field Kits are frameworks. A structure you can run on a real problem this week, with a time estimate attached, built to survive being forwarded to your manager.
Field Reports are the long-form work. The full argument, the numbers behind it, and every source named on the page.
The standard
Every statistic is sourced to a named primary and cited where it appears. When a number cannot be verified at the source, it does not run. Several have been cut for exactly that reason, including some that would have made a stronger argument.
Nothing here recommends a product. No vendor comparisons, no tooling reviews, no affiliate arrangements, and no commentary on any specific company, customer, or platform. The subject is the pattern, never the logo.
Every scene is composited from observations across multiple organisations. No real company, customer, or individual is ever depicted.
The byline
Published under R.W.B.. The evidence is meant to carry the piece, and a name on it would not make any of the numbers more true.
Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, or a pattern does not match what you are seeing in your own organisation, that is worth knowing. Write to hello@theproofai.com. Corrections get made quickly and noted on the piece.
